The non-contact fitting on the cleaning basin, type 20550, is energy and cost efficient, hygienic and functions according to need.

Water runs only when hands are held under the stainless steel outlet, i.e. only when hands are actually being washed. This, combined with the use of a water-saving aerator, reduces water consumption to the 1–1.5 litres that are actually required. The cleaning basin, type 20550, is pioneering in many ways.

The basin body, facing and rear panel are made entirely from stainless steel and formed from a single sheet. High-level hygiene is achievable through easy-clean surfaces and generous radii, including in the sub-basin area. A one-second setting for water-flow overrun minimizes on/off switching and thus prolongs the service life of the equipment. In the event of damage or deliberate covering of the sensor, water flows for a maximum of 30 seconds.

An Aquaflow function checks for the stagnation of drinking water in the pipes, reducing the undesirable spread of bacteria.

The cleaning basin, type 20520, has options for wall, floor or pedestal mounting. The unit has a wrought basin body with a rear panel made entirely of stainless steel 1.4301 and hygienic surfaces with a roughness grade of Rz 04.

The non-contact water activation system functions via a knee-height, 24-volt low-voltage electronic system with the option of either a knee-operated mechanical valve or a 9-volt battery system.

The cleaning basin, type 20520 is also equipped with an Aquaflow function that checks for the stagnation of drinking water in the pipes, reducing the undesirable spread of bacteria.

Cleaning and drying hands at a stainless steel basin

With integrated hand drying technology from Dyson Airblade Tap, hands can be dried at the sink in just 12 seconds. A separate hand-drying area is unnecessary which prevents dripping onto floors and improves hygiene.

Water and air is supplied contactless – users do not need to touch the outlet. Intelligent infra-red sensors generate light to determine the precise positioning of hands. A highly effective HEPA filter removes 99.9 % of all air-borne bacteria and viruses before they reach the hands.

Contactless operation means water is consumed only when hands are held under the outlet. This reduces water consumption and operating costs.
